This video was funny because of the arguing whether crop circles really exist because of alien measures or the unknown or just a couple of guys who are bored and have nothing better to do than create these for all to see and have controversies all over. I believe that these are not formed by aliens whatsoever because I don't know why they would do that anyways and again I really don't believe in aliens, but then again I am stumped on who does it then because there are no signs of footprints on the crops if some groups of people are doing this they would have to be very careful not to leave foot prints behind as evidence. Then again I do see how it can be done over a couple of days because why and how could people if so create it overnight in the dark and get spot on accuracy in the detail of their designs without mistakes and everything is done precisely in an even manner without a mess going on in the work.
I think that crop circles are beautiful and are very interesting and someone has to be very talented to put this work of art onto a huge crop field, but yes it can be done with the right tools and the right brain power between who is bringing it all together. I like how many patterns there are in the formations of crop circles and I like to think of what they may mean to the group who created it, because of course no ghosts did this so it has to be very smart people who thought it out very well and in time.

Week 5: ELECTRIC SURFING: The Secret of the Lost Amp and Dr. Jelly Finger (post 1)
This video first started of with saying that protons have a positive charge and electrons have a negative charge and that they are both eaquel to eachother. It then went to lesson three saying that opposite charges attract eachother within fields, and within all of this the video is showing monkies dancing super fast banging drums maybe to show all the energy flowing through them as they do what they are doing all together. It then goes onto talk about natures law of balance. It talks avbout three facors, bnalance pressure and resistance and talking about electrons and atoms and how electricity travels in circuits. It shows an image of a negative energy and a positive energy and how they worked together to create electricity.
Atoms are composed of positive and negative electric charges and that is what the earth is composed of and what keeps it moving and going along and that they are balanced in matter. I did have to re watch this video because I am not all too familiar with science and atoms and electric ebnegries but this all did help me better understand them in a better light, and understand how all things are comopsed and created and how they can work together to form all we know.

Week 4: Beyond Belief (post 10)
In this beyond belief session number seven, Mahzarin Banaji studies race gender and people. She goes onto talk about her religion that she was born into in which she stopped believing in at the age of eight and by the age of 12 she had written her first essay. She is a social scientist and studies all humans and how they perceive religion and what they see in it. She starts talking about how there are two categories and which one we believe most people believe that is the highest killer among the two, which one was between tornado's and lightening and she said between the two most people die from lightning. Another group was between homicides and diabetes and the highest between the two was diabetes.
This was interesting because she was pointing out the errors in which we may perceive car accidents to be a higher risk of dying than abdominal cancer in which it is reversed. She talks about outside influences in creating these errors that we make because she was giving an example of someone asking you to give you the last four digits of your SS# and then to name the number of doctors in NYC. The first answer will always have an influence on you giving the answer for the second answer. There are so many studies that are done in helping study and find out why people do make these errors and why, and how there is a relationship involved in creating the answers.

Week 4: Beyond Belief (post 9)
In the conference beyond belief session six they address religions and moralitys without religion or with religion or what one does instead or addition to. It goes onto talking about different cultures and what they may feel is missing. There is so much to do with the questions of religion these days and they addressed the many facts and different ways of looking at it from different peoples perspectives. Some people aren't afraid of speaking there minds about there religions and what they feel is the right way. She went onto talk about the question, can we do alright without God? and then she read one statement which was a biblical statement that she felt would upset some of the spectators.
It seemed to me that many people in the audience were merely keeping themselves amused by doing something other than giving her all their attention once she was reading the biblical statement that dealt with God not destroying some cities because there may be some innocent people among them and they shouldnt suffer Abraham was asking if there not be any punnishment for those who did no harm. Abraham was concerned for innocense everywhere and why should all those suffer who have no reason to be tourmented upon. Abraham was scared as well by speaking out what he needed to say, but he did it anyway. He risked Gods wrath to argue for the lives of all these innocent people, he had strong faith.

Week 4: Truth lies (post 8)
I wanted to do another post on the book Truth Lies because it was so interesting to read and I was able to understand what the word "truth lies" really means. I have too fallen in this category of believing something to be true but n reality it was all lies, and I didn't know until it was too late. People should take off their rose collored glasses and see the world for what it really is. I'am sure that if people did this they would all be suprised about how simple life really can be if we all just learn to understand the difference between being taken advantage of and really living life to its fullest. People including myself should all learn to love and live their lives instead of just thinking of the past and the future, if we all just focused on the present we would all live a better life without other influences.
Negativity is what I feel is all that people focus too much time on instead of all the good things that happen in life. There is atually a lot of beauty in life people just need to learn to see all things good and when that happens we would be more appreciative of what time we do have here on earth. There will always be people and our imagination in life who will lie and decieve us, remember we don't always have to listen to our thoughts because they lie a lot to us and once we start believing them that is when we start going balistic and exerting negative energy. When we understand that we don;t and will not know all the answers to life we will be much better off in the long run and we will be healthier as well.

Week 4:The Guru File (post 7)
He has even abused children as well as women, he isn't a guru in my eyes. He even recommended that children are blindfolded until the age of 5 so that they can become in touch with there spiritual self. To me this makes no sense. By the time that any child is 5 they should be free and able to play with toys and have a childhood. To blindfold a child makes no sense because what child at the age of 5 would even know what a spiritual self is? He even sexually abuses the women saying that when he does it to rid them of entities. I don't understand where he is coming from, what man who calls himself a guru would do this? I believe that he is just taking advantage of his name and power that he has over his cult followers and all the children associated with them.
I just feel bad for all the children who didn't ask for this life, maybe some kids do like being blindflded to show them a different light in the spiritual world away from life. He has so many followers all over the world. I am not going against anyone who does follow gurus or cults like his, but I dont understand them. I can see that wanting to get intouch with your spiritual self and your inner beauty, but I dont like that he runs the show and it seems that no one has a say in what goes on and I couldn't personally life like that.

Week 4: AN INTRODUCTION TO CRITICAL THINKING (post 6)
This article continues to talk about how students are taught so much about thinking but not how to think for themselves and make their own decisions. There is no right or wrong age to teach critical thinking skills and how to use them effectively in the world. Students all over should be taught how to think effectively and for themselves and how to understand thought critically. Students should be able to form there own opinions and go with what they feel is right and wrong to them. They shouldn't be punished for thinking and feeling differently about something than how others feel and think about the same topic. It is called an opinion for a reason and that is because it matters to the individual that is stating them, and it is ok to form an opinion different than others from a young age it shows independence and personality.
The definition of critical thinking is " Critical thinking means correct thinking in the pursuit of relevant and reliable knowledge about the world." Therefore based on this definition, critical thinking is what we believe to be true as individuals. They know what to ask and how o come up with all information necessary to prove something right or wrong. Knowledge is power and when we have a greater sense of knowledge we become more powerful in the world and we become smarter as well because we would know how to prove something right or wrong. People need to learn to not conform but to develop as one within themselves and critical thinking helps people branch out from what is normal to others and transform into what is normal for you. It teaches us how to pay attention to detail and to always be aware of our surroundings and what is happening all around the world.
