Week 1: Professor Francis Fukuyama (post 8)

In this interview with Professor Francis Fukuyama, he discusses his thesis based on the end of history. Fukuyama talks about democracy, communism, socialism, as well as human nature and science. My opinion on his interview is that at first the title of his book seemed like the end of the history and mankind. As I listened to his interview I realized that he was referring to the end of history as the end of a phase in history and the beginning of a new phase, whether it be technology, government or religion based.

The world will always go through phases whether they are good or bad. Human nature is meaning that people want to have a sense of freedom and have the choice to do things without being controlled. Some people do not want to live under strict orders under their government, therefore people want change and will fight for their rights against their country so they can rebel against what was brought upon them. When these wars end that's the end of that phase in history and, therefore, a new phase in history will begin and so on and so fourth.
