Week 2: Little Things that Jiggle (post 1)

This short film showed images of space, along with science and mathematics. Along with this film there was a quote by Abraham Pais that states, "To make a discovery is not necessarily the same as to understand a discovery." I believe this quote to mean that when someone creates or discovers something new, it's not necessarily the same when they have absolutely no basic understanding for what was just discovered. We must start from point one then move to point two, when we are at point two before grasping point one we aren't fully attaining knowledge that is based on our divine wisdom alone. I like the saying, "With knowledge comes power."

For example, when someone discovers something that is discombobulating, well they must understand the who? what? where? when? why? and how? before even admitting what they discovered. When these questions are answered truthfully then they will be able to share their discovery to the world. Much practice and study comes in handy when making new discoveries to be well known, because if someone doesn't understand the basic knowledge of their own findings, then who else will? It won't exist if someone doesn't understand their discoveries own existence.
