Week 5: Nietzsche and the Myth of Eternal Recurrence (post 2)

"Imagine that you had to relive every moment of your life again and again"--Nietzsche. This is actually something that I have never thought about before, but it is such an interesting theme to ponder upon. In this film the narrator asked us to imagine if a demon creped up to you and said, as you live this life it now will be relived again and again with every pain, sorrow, joy, thought, and sigh. Nothing would ever be new, it would be the same again and again the same series. This is something that I would not even have an answer to at the moment, because everyone makes mistakes in life so to have to relive every pain, sorrow would be tough, but again to experience every joy would be amazing to relive again. So to relive joyful moments again, who would want to pass that up? not me, even if during the time I would have to relive the sad memories/moments, it's worth it to me.

The narrator asks if you would turn around and "curse the demon who spoke?" or,"say you are a God, and I have never heard of anything more divine?" However, the main question is, do I want this again and again? Nietzsche actually was a great philosopher to even come up with this question/theory in the first place.Life is amazing and who wouldn't want to relive every moment again? I would love to relive moments again, but change mistakes that were made, decisions that I wish were made otherwise, but to have the opportunity to relive life again, I believe that I would take that opportunity and go with it. However, it is a big burden to have brought upon someone.
