In the Socratic Universe Chapter 7 goes into some interviews with some California Philosophers and they discuss their belief on what happens to us after death? In reading these interviews, I found them all to be all evident to an extent with different religious beliefs and some just personal views on death alone. One Philosopher named McGray (University of San Diego) stated: Either heaven or hell. I can side with this answer because I firmly believe that there is a Heaven and a Hell, and that when we die we either go to Heaven or we are doomed to Hell. This is something that I have personally always have had faith in to occur after death.
Some Philosophers or people in general believe in reincarnation. I don't understand this belief, although there is so much to believe in what truly happens to us after death I don't see reincarnation as one of them it seems really fictitious. However, many people may believe that Heaven or Hell seems fictitious to them personally. I think that If you personally believe in one thing that will happen to you after death than that is what will happen. For example, if you believe in reincarnation than that is what will happen to you. I believe in Heaven and Hell after death, therefore I will go to Heaven after I die! =D
So many people fight over this issue everyday. It makes no sense to fight over the unknown. Honestly, I say just believe in what you see fits and so be it. Yes,it will always be a religious or personal issue amoungst people, but why waste time thinking about the unknown? Just enjoy your time here on earth! Everything will fall into place one day.
